The company Slovškrob successfully restored the company’s original activity in 2022 and thus became an important part of the supply sector in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. We specialize in the distribution of food additives, while importing products from various corners of Europe and the world.
What makes us unique is that we use our own trading application called Rootie to support our trading operations. This innovative platform helps us manage our business processes efficiently and enables us to quickly respond to customer requests, making us a major player in the industry.

History
Already since 1894
The establishment of the starch factory and agricultural distillery dates back to 1894. Since its inception, it has undergone several structural changes. At the turn of the century, a corn starch factory was built, which was converted to potato and later to wheat in the early twenties. After 1946, all starch factories in Slovakia were nationalized, and Dolný Ohaji was among them. Since 1951, the starch factory has undergone gradual modernization of outdated machinery and equipment.
After the arrival of the new generation with the newly founded joint-stock company Slovškrob, a.s. since 2003, the sales sphere of our products has been oriented not only to the domestic, but also to a wide foreign market. From 2022 we use our own application Rootie.eu for trading.
